The Cross Domain Copy/Paste feature in WDesignKit allows you to copy and paste content seamlessly between different websites and domains. This helps you transfer sections, containers, widgets, templates, and snippets quickly without recreating them manually.
Before using Cross Domain Copy/Paste
Make sure:
- WDesignKit is installed and activated on both the source and destination websites.
- The required page builder is installed and active:
- Elementor for Elementor websites.
- Gutenberg for Gutenberg websites.
- You have Editor or Administrator access on both websites.
- Cross Domain Copy/Paste is enabled on both websites.
Step 1: Open WDesignKit Settings
- Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
- Navigate to WDesignKit → Settings → General Settings.
Step 2: Open Cross Domain Copy/Paste Settings
- Locate the Cross Domain Copy/Paste section.
- Click the Customize button.
After clicking the Customize button, the Cross Domain Copy/Paste Settings popup will open.
Step 3: Enable Your Preferred Builder
Inside the popup, enable the builders you want to use:
- Elementor – Enable Cross Domain Copy/Paste for Elementor websites.
- Gutenberg – Enable Cross Domain Copy/Paste for Gutenberg websites.
- Bricks – Coming Soon.
Turn on the toggle for the required builder and close the popup.
The feature is now activated.
Note: Enable Cross Domain Copy/Paste on both the source and destination websites.
Where to Find the Feature
1. Elementor
- Open a page with Elementor.
- Search for any widget, or right-click on any Section, Container, Column, or Widget.
- Select WDesignKit Copy or WDesignKit Paste.
After enabling the feature:
Copy Content
- Open any page with Elementor.
- Search for any widget, or right-click on any Section, Container, Column, or Widget.
- Click WDesignKit Copy.
Copy Confirmation
After clicking WDesignKit Copy, the following success message will appear:
“Content copied for cross-domain use.”
Paste Content
- Open the destination website and edit the page with Elementor.
- Right-click on the location where you want to paste the content.
- Click WDesignKit Paste.
Paste Confirmation
After the content is pasted successfully, the following success message will appear:
“Content pasted successfully across domains.”
2. Gutenberg
After enabling the feature:
Copy Content
- Open any page or post with Gutenberg.
- Click the + icon at the top left, search for the desired block, and then select the block or block group you want to copy.
- Open the block’s Three-Dot (â‹®) Options Menu.
- Click WDesignKit Copy.
Copy Confirmation
After clicking WDesignKit Copy, the following success message will appear:
“Content copied for cross-domain use.”
Paste Content
- Open the destination website and edit the page or post with Gutenberg.
- Select the location where you want to insert the content.
- Open the Three-Dot (â‹®) Options Menu.
- Click WDesignKit Paste.
Paste Confirmation
After the content is pasted successfully, the following success message will appear:
“Content pasted successfully across domains.”
Automatic Widget Import
When you paste content on another website, WDesignKit automatically imports the required WDesignKit widgets used in the copied content to help maintain the original design and functionality.
Automatically Imported
- Supported WDesignKit widgets used in the copied layout.
- Layout structure and design settings.
This helps ensure that the pasted content works correctly on the destination website without requiring manual widget installation or setup.
Note: Images and media files are not automatically imported during the paste process.

Notes
- Cross Domain Copy/Paste is currently available for Elementor and Gutenberg.
- Bricks support will be available in a future update.
- Make sure the feature is enabled on both websites before copying and pasting content.
