With our latest updates in Versions 1.2.3 to 1.2.5, we’ve added improvements that make importing templates and building widgets smoother than ever:
- In v1.2.5, you’ll now see a user review popup after importing a template, making it easier to share your feedback.
- The Bricks Widget Builder now includes a sanitizer and a new controller guidance video with docs, so you can build more confidently.
- We’ve also improved Safari compatibility on macOS for a smoother experience across browsers.
Earlier in v1.2.4, we introduced the Section Edit Option inside the Widget Builder and fine-tuned the Elementor template import process.
Back in v1.2.3, we made importing Gutenberg templates more powerful by adding support for Global Colors and Typography, for a more consistent design workflow.

- WordPress.com has introduced a new free AI site builder that allows users to create a website in seconds by simply providing a description prompt. Matt Mullenweg shared on X that in the future, this AI builder will be available for all WordPress websites.
- Google has enhanced its AI Mode, allowing users to upload images and ask questions about them, combining Google Lens with Gemini’s reasoning capabilities. The feature is rolling out to more users.
- WooCommerce 9.8, released on April 9, 2025, introduces new features including Coming Soon templates, modernized email templates with previews, and more. WooCommerce 9.8.1 was released shortly after to fix two bugs. The release of WooCommerce 9.9 has been delayed by one month and is now scheduled for June 2, 2025.
- Google Discover, which shows personalized content, will soon be available on desktop search, expanding from its previous availability on mobile devices through the Google app, Chrome, and google.com.
